La culla di Romolo e Remo - Parla Carandini

Ritrovato sul Palatino il Lupercale, il luogo leggendario nel quale la Lupa protesse il fondatore di Roma e suo fratello Remo.
L'edificio ipogeo rinvenuto dalle sonde è a pianta centrale del diametro di 6 metri e 56 cm ed è alto 7 metri e 13.
La volta è sontuosamente decorata, con motivi di tipo geometrico a imitazione di una copertura a lacunari in stucco o pittura.
